Comics at length and briefly
Really interesting article about Watchmen, one of my favourite comic books. I don't entirely agree with it, but it makes you think. I haven't read a truly great comic since Neil Gaiman stopped writing Sandman. Every time I go home I reread those books - it is such a perfectly realised other universe that is totally plausible - who knows, maybe Gaiman tapped into something, and Sandman was actually reportage.
But my question is, is the author of that article about Watchmen right? Did Watchmen kill comics? Or are there others out there that can wow, move and amaze me in the way these have? Let me know please.
